My Background

Andy Stein; CLTC, RICP

Andy Stein is an accomplished, highly-respected Financial Services Professional in the Long Island General Office of New York Life. His path to achieving success in the Financial Services Industry is unique and inspiring because after earning a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985, he chose to pursue a career in the Printing and Paper Industry.

Andy enjoyed 25 successful years in the Printing and Paper Industry and some of his early experiences served as the inspiration for him to ultimately pursue a career with New York Life. As a young professional, Andy would study and copy many of the actions and behaviors of those around him who were achieving a high level of success both personally and professionally. He noticed that successful people all had at least one thing in common – they made smart financial decisions and they all owned life insurance.

For this reason, Andy purchased his first life insurance policy at the age of 23 and felt permanent coverage was the best fit, because it included a cash value component in addition to the death benefit of the policy. As his life and needs changed over the next two decades, Andy would purchase additional insurance policies and continue to make prudent decisions regarding his personal finance. Unfortunately, he also noticed that many people close to him in his personal life were not making appropriate financial decisions for themselves, their families, and their businesses.

He found himself inspired and motivated to help people implement the smart, simple financial strategies that he put in place so that they could enjoy the peace of mind and prosperity that comes with making smart income protection and investment decisions. After careful consideration, he chose to start his career in the Financial Services Industry and became an Agent with New York Life in 2010.

His passion for helping people, combined with the industry leading training, development, and support programs at New York Life, ensured that he would be in a position to achieve a high level of success in his new career. Andy has now qualified for New York Life’s prestigious Executive Council starting in 2011 and continuing through 2017. He also focuses on his professional development, which is why chose to pursue and obtain the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) and the Certificate for Long Term Care (CLTC®) designations from The American College.

Andy enjoys working with individuals, families, and small business owners; and makes sure he always puts their financial needs and goals first. He is proud to offer his clients access to financial products from the company with the highest financial strength ratings currently awarded to any life insurer  according to the four major ratings companies: Fitch, A.M. Best, Moody’s, and Standard & Poors, as of 9/12/2019.

When he is not working with his clients, Andy loves spending time with his two children; his son AJ and daughter, Leah. Watching them grow up and attending their school and sports events, as well as other extracurricular activities has been very rewarding. Andy and his children are all huge Pittsburgh Steeler football fans. Aside from spending time with his children, Andy enjoys physical fitness, sports, movies, music and following the stock market. Both professionally and personally, he aspires to help people capitalize on their financial goals.
